Medical device entrepreneurship opportunity for VU grad students

VISE is considering offering a 3 credit hour course during the Fall 2016 semester. Students will work on teams of 3-4 to explore a technology from all angles, including intellectual property, customer discovery, market evaluation, FDA regulatory pathways, venture capital vs. SBIR funding, and the practicalities of setting up and running a small business.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given clearance to market and sell the powered lower-limb exoskeleton created by a team of Vanderbilt engineers and commercialized by the Parker Hannifin Corporation for both clinical and personal use in the United States.
