Medical robots are able to provide surgeons with superhuman abilities including sub-millimetric accuracy, highly dexterous manipulators, and incision-less procedures.

Vanderbilt collaborates with Boehringer Ingelheim for difficult-to-treat cancers

Boehringer Ingelheim announced a new collaboration with Vanderbilt University. The multi-year program complements an already existing collaboration by focusing on the research and development of small molecule compounds targeting the protein SOS (Son Of Sevenless). This molecule activates KRAS, a molecular switch that plays a central role in the onset of some of the deadliest cancers.


AgLaunch offers new programs to advance agricultural innovation

AgLaunch accelerates new innovations in food and agriculture. The organization addresses global issues while creating local opportunities in the Mid-South. AgLaunch connects agricultural researchers, entrepreneurs, farmers, investors, corporations and nonprofit organizations to address real farm and supply chain needs. AgLaunch is an initiative of Memphis Bioworks Foundation and the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, and includes a robust group of public and private partners including University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture & Tennessee State University.

CTTC attends JP Morgan Healthcare Conference

The J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference is the largest and most informative healthcare investment symposium in the industry which brings together global industry leaders, emerging fast-growth companies, innovative technology creators, globally minded service providers, and members of the investment community. There were more than 400 companies, both public and private, to deliver presentations to more than 4,000 investors. 


Vanderbilt Inventor wins ASPET Award

Craig Lindsley, Ph.D., a leader of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine’s groundbreaking drug discovery program, is the 2017 recipient of the Pharmacia-ASPET Award in Experimental Therapeutics from the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET).
