Biography
Dr. Alexander Langerman is a head and neck surgeon, data scientist, and entrepreneur whose work bridges clinical care, ethics, and surgical innovation. A national expert in surgical transparency and operating room efficiency, he leads the Surgical Analytics Lab at Vanderbilt, where his research focuses on real-time data capture, video analysis, and the ethical implications of digital tools in surgical settings.
He co-founded ExplORer Surgical, a workflow optimization platform based on his operating room research, which was acquired by GHX in 2021. Dr. Langerman remains committed to translating clinical insights into scalable healthcare solutions, with ongoing work in surgical AI, supply chain resiliency, and surgeon-patient communication.
