Gianny Muller joins CTTC as Sr Applications Developer

Gianny joined CTTC in July 2015 and is responsible for daily support, maintenance, design, and administration of the CTTC site.  Prior to joining CTTC, Gianny worked as a Project Coordinator and Drupal Web developer for Information International Associates contracted out to the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Scientific and Technical Information in addition to Freelance work for Leon Russell and other local bands and companies.


Kara Bandy joins CTTC as Communications Coordinator

Kara Bandy joins CTTC as the new Communications Coordinator.

Kara joined CTTC in July of 2015 and is responsible for coordinating communication and outreach efforts for the center. Prior to joining CTTC, Kara worked as a Creative Services Writer/Producer for television stations in Tennessee and Mississippi. She comes from a background in marketing and outreach for news and television stations.

Six Vanderbilt technologies earn US patent protection in May

Vanderbilt University was awarded six U.S. patents for intellectual property (IP) during the month of May with technologies ranging from imaging techniques to therapeutics. 


MTAShare now used for incoming MTAs

For more than a year now, MTAShare has shown to be an efficient and effective system for processing outgoing Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs).  And now, beginning June 1st, all standard incoming MTAs will be processed using MTAShare as well. The system is fast and easy to use and utilizes widely accepted, standardized agreements to avoid the need for protracted negotiations.


Vanderbilt Startup InvisionHeart receives FDA clearance

Our congratulations to the InvisionHeart team for obtaining FDA 510(k) clearance for its secure, cloud-based, mobile solution for capturing and managing 12-lead ECGs. This clearance will permit InvisionHeart to sell its product. The InvisionHeart product is a significant advancement in cardiac care for patients and healthcare providers in a wide variety of care settings.

Launch TN to host SBIR Workshop series this May

Launch TN is hosting an SBIR Workshop Series this May with nationally renowned SBIR/STTR grant-writing expert Mark Henry. Henry, the founder of Grow Emerging Technologies, will lead five sessions May 4 - 8, across the state, with three slated for Nashville. The series will start in Memphis with a workshop Monday, May 4, before heading to Nashville for a two-day stop. It will wrap up May 8 in Knoxville. The Nashville schedule is below.
