Biography
Olivia joined CTTC in June 2026 from Vanderbilt’s Mechanical Engineering Department, where she is earning her Ph.D. under Dr. Nabil Simaan. Her research focuses on developing medical robotics for endovascular surgery and surgical training. She was awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship in 2024 and a was co-recipient of the 2025 Lacy-Fischer Interdisciplinary Research Grant. Before arriving at Vanderbilt, Olivia earned her bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah.
