Dr. George Nicholson is a pediatric interventional cardiologist and co-founder of Influent Medical, a startup developing minimally invasive devices for infants with congenital heart disease. His work focuses on improving early outcomes for newborns with hypoplastic left heart syndrome through technologies like the Atlas Stent and Ohm Resistor, which aim to delay high-risk surgery and reduce complications.

At Vanderbilt, Dr. Nicholson combines clinical care with translational research to evaluate outcomes of catheter-based interventions in infants. His entrepreneurial efforts are grounded in real-world challenges, with a goal of delivering scalable, patient-specific innovations that improve survival and quality of life in pediatric cardiology.
