The handheld device integrates retro-facing visualization and illumination directly within the instrument, reducing reliance on tower-based imaging infrastructure while preserving established surgical technique. The follow-on award will support embedded electronics integration, optical benchmarking, and technical validation of high-definition imaging performance.
