Programmable Blebbisomes as Translation-Competent Biologic Production and Immune-Stealth Delivery Platforms

Application Cycle
February 2026

Blebbisomes are a newly discovered class of large, motile extracellular vesicles being developed as a programmable platform for therapeutic delivery and cell-free protein production. The technology enables exogenous mRNA loading, protein translation after isolation, and engineered surface protein display for tissue targeting and immune evasion. The follow-on award will support proof-of-concept studies and intellectual property development for blebbisome-based therapeutic and protein production technologies.
