After logging into the inventor portal, you will be guided through each step of the disclosure process with easy-to-follow instructions. The bullets below summarize these steps.
- Once logged into the inventor portal via this page, select the appropriate disclosure type among the four choices, supply the information requested and submit the form.
- CTTC will review the disclosure to confirm all necessary information has been provided.
- The information is used by CTTC to fulfill research sponsor reporting obligations, making patent filing decisions, and developing commercialization strategies for your technology. If the form has critical information incomplete or missing, then you will be notified by email to provide that information and resubmit.
- Once the disclosure form has been confirmed to be in good order, each contributor listed on the disclosure will receive an email acknowledging the disclosure has been received. It will contain a link to a Contributor’s page, for each person to enter information specific to them, such as department affiliation, address, etc.
- After completion of the Contributor’s page, select the link to the final page to sign off on the assignment and royalty sharing agreements.
- The disclosure will be assigned to a licensing officer who will contact you within a few business days to discuss the next steps in the commercialization process.
