Background
Lilly USA, LLC, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking proposals for a Quality Improvement (QI) initiative aimed at enhancing the care of people with obesity. This initiative focuses on identifying and addressing healthcare gaps, standardizing processes, and improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.
Successful applicants will receive funding from a total budget of approximately $500,000, with individual grants varying based on the proposal's evaluation and associated costs.
Focus Areas:
- Increasing formal diagnosis and assessment of obesity in clinical practice
- Enhancing the initiation of long-term, evidence-based obesity care by primary care providers
- Improving the provision of lifestyle counseling, therapeutic interventions, and bariatric surgery for people with obesity
Eligibility:
- Large integrated health delivery systems, ACOs, hospital systems, insurers, and other entities capable of measuring and implementing interventions to address healthcare gaps
- Applicants with a vested interest in improving obesity care and the ability to demonstrate sustainability and scalability of successful interventions
Proposal Requirements:
- Detailed description of health system practice gaps and root causes
- Clear intervention plans with estimated improvements and patient impact
- Objective outcomes measures for process, clinician performance, and patient outcomes
- Qualifications and experience of the project leader and collaborators
- Communication, sustainability, and scalability plans
Submission Instructions:

- Limit proposal length to 30 pages (excluding references and budget)
