Brennen Carr joined CTTC in June 2024, where he focuses on protecting and commercializing technologies in the physical sciences. He brings a diverse background to the team and holds both a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Rochester. His doctoral research centered on developing a computational model of cerebrospinal fluid flow in the brain, with applications to neurodegenerative diseases, stroke, and traumatic brain injury.
Prior to joining Vanderbilt, Brennen served as Chief Technology Officer for the Simon School Venture Fund, where he led technical due diligence, investment valuations, and early-stage venture investing.
