Biography
Nury joined the CTTC in June 2026 from Vanderbilt’s Cell and Developmental Biology Program, where she is pursuing her Ph.D. under the co-mentorship of Drs. Julie Bastarache and Fiona Harrison. Her research examines age-dependent neurovascular mechanisms that contribute to sepsis-associated brain dysfunction. With a strong interest in emerging technologies and translational science, Nury is excited to learn more about how discoveries are evaluated, protected, and advanced toward real-world impact. She was recently awarded the Richard M. Caprioli Award for Technology Education to pursue hands-on training in a technology not currently available at Vanderbilt. Nury previously earned her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Vanderbilt.
