Earlier this week, a crowd of roughly 40 business men and women, researchers, and entrepreneurs - including a handful from CTTC - listened intently as Glenn Perdue, managing member of Kraft Analytics, LLC and certified valuation analyst, shared insight into the intellectual property and new venture valuation process.
"Valuation and price are typically different," Perdue told the crowd as he opened his hour-long session. He elaborated on both, explaining how pricing and valuation are determined and the relationship between the two.
Perdue's talk was organized and hosted by Life Science Tennessee and Cumberland Emerging Technologies, both of which are working to bolster innovation and entrepreneurship in Tennessee.
If you missed his talk, and are interested in learning about the valuation process, Perdue will lead a similar session Wednesday, Sept. 10, as part of CTTC's Entrepreneur Boot Camp series. At this session, Perdue will cover valuation issues relevant to university faculty and staff. The session will be held at the Cool Springs Life Sciences Center, starting at 8 a.m. Stay tuned for more details and registration information.
