When:
Wednesday, November 16, 2016 - 5:00pm to 7:00pm

The Vanderbilt Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization and the Wond'ry are collaborating with the Nashville Entrepreneur Center to develop and offer a Pre-Flight Program for aspiring entrepreneurs tailored for Vanderbilt innovators. The program will be held at the Vanderbilt Innovation Pavilion.

Pre-Flight will be a 7 week program hosted at the Wond'ry to assist members of the Vanderbilt community with entrepreneurial aspirations to explore the possibility of starting a company or non-profit venture, evaluate whetherit is novel and viable and learn what it takes to run a business.

In addition to introducing the key topic areas an entrepreneur should consider prior to launching a venture, Pre-Flight will provide an overview of issues specific to faculty and student entrepreneurs. The program will  introduce participants to issues related to evaluation of research agreements, intellectual property ownership, the role of conflict of interest reporting, regulatory issues and clinical testing and will help to raise awareness of resources within Vanderbilt to entrepreneurs overcome challenges related to these issues.  The program will conclude with an opportunity for participants to pitch to a panel of startup and investment experts for feedback on their business concepts.

Pre-Flight is open to all members of the Vanderbilt community (including students) who are considering whether entrepreneurship might play a role in their future. If you are interested in participating, please fill out the registration application. Space is limited for program.
