Lecture: Collaborating with industry to advance basic science research

When:
Friday, April 6, 2018 - 3:00pm
Location:
Vanderbilt University Medical Center | Light Hall Room 214

Members of the Vanderbilt community are invited to a presentation and reception this April 6th highlighting Vanderbilt’s industry engagement efforts, with a focus on our just-announced collaboration with Deerfield Management. Read more about the collaboration here.

The Deerfield collaboration will provide opportunities for researchers developing biological insights with potential therapeutic applications to advancing their technologies from their current state through IND-enablement.  At this presentation, we will be announcing an RFP process for identifying projects that could benefit from the Vanderbilt-Deerfield collaboration.

Following the lecture, attendees are invited to a reception, which will provide opportunities for Vanderbilt researchers developing new pharmaceuticals and biologics to interact with members of the Deerfield team and explore opportunities for collaboration.

This lecture is part of the Vanderbilt Enabling Innovation Initiative, a new program designed to encourage and support a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship to promote discovery here at Vanderbilt. This seminar series is co-sponsored by the Vanderbilt Center for Technology Transfer & Commercialization and School of Medicine Basic Sciences.

Registration is required, as seating is limited. Refreshments will be provided at the reception.
