CTTC is hosting a fifty minute session with the Harrington Discovery Institute (HDI) to explore funding opportunities for physicians and scientists developing new therapies. HDI will describe the various funding programs offered as well as who is eligible, how to apply, and details on their RFP processes.

The Harrington Discovery Institute is an internationally-recognized initiative dedicated to advancing therapies toward clinical development, who has funded several drug discovery projects at Vanderbilt in the recent past. Their programs are designed to enable innovators to improve the range of medications available to patients. Certain HDI programs are focused on physician scientists and are disease agnostic. Other programs are open to all researchers are focused on specific disease areas, such as Alzheimer’s disease, retinal diseases, and certain rare diseases. HDI will describe these funding opportunities in detail, and will review their model for providing expert guidance to faculty developing new medicines under one of their programs.

Come join us to learn about the Harrington Discovery Institute and their support of the advancement of drug discovery efforts in academia.
