The ideal partner would possess expertise in developing in vitro or ex vivo models for assessing hair follicle health, aging, and longevity. They should have experience with cellular and metabolic health assessment, particularly in relation to mitochondrial function and cellular senescence.
What we're looking for:
The ideal partners would possess expertise in hair or fiber research, or related fields such as natural, material, and cosmetic sciences; biotechnology; mechanical engineering; computer science; and medicine.
Must-have requirements are:
- Capability for medium to high throughput screening using in vitro, cell-based, ex vivo, or biopsy-based systems focused on cellular aging, longevity, and cellular health models
- Ability to accommodate a diverse range of chemicals, extracts, and compounds, including complex mixtures with varying solubility and cytotoxicity
- Validated model(s) for assessing hair follicle aging and longevity
Nice-to-have requirements are:
- Demonstrated reproducibility of the model(s)
- Higher throughput capacity (ability to screen >20 materials at a time)
- High sensitivity
- Cost-effectiveness
- Time efficiency (ability to deliver results through testing ingredients in the platform by the end of 2025)
