Martha Schwarzkopf Award for Women in Science

Henkel is seeking a partnership with capable collaborators who can contribute to hair science and related fields, with a focus on recognizing outstanding female researchers and emerging talent.

What we're looking for: 

The ideal partners would possess expertise in hair or fiber research, or related fields such as natural, material, and cosmetic sciences; biotechnology; mechanical engineering; computer science; and medicine.

Must-have requirements are:

  • Female researchers with demonstrated achievements in hair, fiber research, or related fields
  • For the Emerging Talent Award: At least a master's degree in a relevant discipline

Nice-to-have requirements are:

  • Expertise in topics such as hair structure and fiber mechanics, advances in cosmetic science, mechanical behavior of hair and fiber structures, simulations of biological surfaces, scientific models for studying fiber properties, computational modeling, surface analysis methods, or biotechnological research on hair fiber structure
  • Established scientists or early-career researchers
