Background
A global leader in optimized resource management is seeking materials, technologies, and proven processes for producing porous, hollow tubing. The company aims to develop tubing with specific water passage rates, tensile strength, dimensions, flexibility, and chemical resistance properties.
Approaches of interest:
- Existing porous materials adaptable for tubing production
- Methods of tubing production applicable to porous materials
- Extrusion-based production methods with high line speeds preferred
- Fluorine-free, low-cost materials preferred
Out of scope:
- Materials or processes without associated prototypes
- Materials or processes validated only in silico
- Materials produced via braiding or knitting processes
Developmental stage of interest:
Opportunities from TRL1 to TRL6 are within scope, provided there is a physical prototype with a clear line of sight to production.
