Morbillivirus is a genus of viruses of concern because of their ability to infect humans and a variety of animals, leading to diseases such as measles and canine distemper. The production of vaccines requires the propagation of viruses in vitro using eukaryotic cell cultures. Increasing the viral yield during in vitro viral cultivation is crucial to enable scaling up production, maintaining cost-effectiveness, and extending vaccines’ shelf life.
