Linkous advances lung cancer research with Merck Research Laboratories Scientific Engagement and Emerging Discovery Science program

Vanderbilt University’s Research Associate Professor of Pharmacology, Amanda Linkous, received a research grant from the Merck Research Laboratories SEEDS program to study therapeutic intervention points for preventing lung cancer metastasis in the brain. Despite common treatments, many cases of lung cancer spread to the brain, leading to challenges in treatment. Linkous aims to use 3D organoid models and computational analyses to understand how tumor cells adapt to the brain environment.
