The "Ask the Experts" panel series is an educational panel discussion for early stage entrepreneurs and researchers who want to pursue the process of commercialization of life science technologies. This discussion will be targeted to life science entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs.  

The “Ask the Experts” series mirrors the programmatic process of the Life Science Tennessee Statewide Mentor Network. The Network leads select entrepreneurs through a series of panel reviews discussing business model, regulatory hurdles, intellectual property, technology assessment, market assessment, strategic partnerships, product development, marketing and communications, and financing.  

One of the pivotal initial focal points for any start-up company is to truly define and understand their market. The target customer will dictate how the company approaches many aspects of their business. A first step in the LIfe Science Tennessee mentoring process is coaching and mentoring on market assessment, competitive advantage, and go-to-market plans.
