InvisionHeart pitches at Google Demo Day, leaves with $100K

InvisionHeart, LLC, a startup company based on a 12-lead wireless ECG developed at Vanderbilt, was one of 10 companies nationwide selected to pitch at the inaugural Google Demo Day. While they didn't "win", InvisionHeart did leave with a $100,000 equity investment from AOL Founder Steve Case who also served as a Demo Day judge.

InvisionHeart CEO Josh Nickols told the Tennessean, "We thought we'd come out here and just have an opportunity to present to Google, develop some relationships, network a bit. 100K from Steve Case is certainly a big piece of our Series A."

The technology behind InvisionHeart was developed by Susan Eagle, a cardiac anesthesiologist at Vanderbilt, and Franz Baudenbacher, professor of biomedical engineering. Check out the video to learn more about the technology and how the collaboration came about.
