Get ready for a special panel session this week featuring 4 real-world investors at all stages of the investment food chain on Thursday 11/4 at 5:30pm in 136 Featheringill Hall! Here’s a preview of what’s ahead: Week 7 Preview (Nov 4th): Investor Perspectives Want to know how investors think, and how the investment food chain works? Come on down! Panelists include:

· (Entrepreneur, Angel Investor) Jim Stefansic, Chairman, COO/CFO, Faros Healthcare, Partner at NueCura: Jim is a highly experienced and involved leader of entrepreneurial activities in Tennessee, with significant technical acumen and expertise in raising funds ($17M over 7 years) and commercializing medical devices. After receiving his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt, he earned his MBA from Belmont in 2005 and cofounded Pathfinder Technologies where he served as COO/CTO. He is currently the COO/CFO at Faros Healthcare and a Partner at NeuCura. Jim has very strong working relationships with the investor and entrepreneurial community in Tennessee, including some of the other panelists here.

· (Seed Stage Investor) Ray Capp, Chairman/Founder, Conduit Corporation: After receiving his MBA from Vanderbilt, Ray worked for many years driving important business directions at prominent tech/entertainment companies such as Texas Instruments and Ingram Entertainment (COO) before serving as Executive Vice President at Thomas Nelson Publishers. He is currently the Founder and Chairman at Conduit Corporations, a seed stage firm specializing in commercialization of healthcare IT.

· (VC) Christopher Rand, Partner at TriStar Technology Ventures: Upon graduating from Owen with an MBA, Christopher served as the Manager of the New Venture Development at the Vanderbilt Tech Transfer Office before becoming a Partner at Tri-Star Technology Ventures, an early stage investment firm in the healthcare space.

· (Investment Banker, Angel) Tom Wylly, Senior Partner, Brentwood Capital Advisors, Chairman of the Nashville Capital Network: Tom has over 35 years of experience in corporate finance and investment banking, working previously at Wachovia Bank and JC Bradford before service as Senior Partner at Brentwood Capital and Chairmain/Founder at Nashville Capital Network, which has helped raise Angel and early stage equity capital for 38 companies thus far.
