Vanderbilt Flash Pitch Program

The Vanderbilt Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization is hosting a competition at the Wond’ry for student entrepreneurs with innovative ideas that have business potential. Contestants will give 90-second “flash pitches” to a panel of judges made of investors and members of Tennessee’s entrepreneurial community. Each pitch will be judged for the quality of presentation and investment potential.

Vanderbilt Post-Launch Program

The Vanderbilt Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization and the Vanderbilt Innovation Center are collaborating with the Nashville Entrepreneur Center to offer a Post-Launch Program for aspiring entrepreneurs tailored for Vanderbilt innovators. The program will be held at the Vanderbilt Innovation Center.

Innovation Corps Program

CTTC has formed a dedicated focus on the National Science Foundation (NSF) initiated Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program. We strongly believe I-Corps presents unique opportunities to accelerate innovation and new venture creation throughout the Vanderbilt community. Our track record on winning proposals as been 100%. Current recipients include EndoInsight, Filtergraph, PinPtr, VenoStent, SMAC, and INCA.  MORE.

Vanderbilt Entrepreneurial Network

The Vanderbilt Entrepreneurial Network (VEN) is a collaborative effort between  Tech Venture Challenge (TVC, ) an educational event that allows students to learn the process of commercializing early technologies, facilitates networking between researchers and business professionals, and showcases emerging intellectual property from Vanderbilt University, LifeScienceTN Academic Alliance ( an organization focused on bringing life science and business graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, together to create opportunities for entrepreneurship, career development, and knowledge sharing with the goal of creating a life science industry network and Vanderbilt Innovation and Entrepreneurship Society (VINES,, a community and an educational resource for students from Vanderbilt University with interest in entrepreneurship or innovation.

VEN aims to engage and empower Vanderbilt student community on entrepreneurship, lean startup principals and technology commercialization through education, programming and mentorship. VEN main focus is collaboration and comradery amongst various Student organizations on campus that are created  around the central theme of entrepreneurship. VEN’s mantra – Entrepreneurship, Powered by Vanderbilt!

Entrepreneur Boot Camp Series

CTTC is committed to providing resources and educational opportunities to help Vanderbilt ventures succeed. In April of 2013, CTTC's New Ventures Team launched its Entrepreneur Boot Camp series, an ongoing educational program for the Vanderbilt community. To date, the series has included a half-day Entrepreneur Boot Camp at the Cool Springs Life Sciences Center, an SBIR/STTR seminar in conjunction with Launch Tennessee, and a valuation seminar.
