From the Tennessean: Q&A with Sam Lynch, leader in the region's Life Sciences Industry

Much is underway in Tennessee to promote and support the life sciences industry including its underlying sources of support:  research, scientists and entrepreneurship. Life Science Tennessee, a statewide trade group, is helping to lead the charge by connecting companies, academia, research institutions, government and economic development, and other industry associations. Sam Lynch, chairman of LifeSciTN's board, recently sat down with the Tennessean to talk about his interest in life sciences and the direction the industry is headed.

Later this week, in conjunction with the organization's annual conference and the national ADDC Conference, LifeSciTN will also host its second annual Venture Pitch Forum. REDCap, a prospective Vanderbilt startup based on a comprehensive electronic data capture (EDC) solution, was one of just five companies selected to pitch.
