Wednesday, Sept. 3, CTTC helped kick of the 2014 Vanderbilt ASPIRE Program with a session on technology commercialization. The ASPIRE program, which stands for Augmenting Scholar Preparation and Integration with Research-Related Endeavors) aims to help biomedical sciences PhD students and postdoctoral scholars explore a variety of research-related careers. CTTC’s month-long module will include sessions on intellectual property protection, federal statutes, the academic technology commercialization process, translational research, early stage product development, entrepreneurship, new venture creation and funding sources.
