ASPIRE - Evolution and Impact of Technology Commercialization - Session 1

This series is a part of the BRET office's ASPIRE program and presented by the CTTC and focused to help educate students about alternative career paths while also providing educational content about those fields of work.

This session will cover an overview to a profession in technology transfer as well as the history of technology transfer, the evolution of the laws that shape the industry, how technology transfer is an economic engine, and the societal impact of academic inventions.

Medical Device Regulatory Affairs Program Town Hall

Vanderbilt's newly formed Medical Device Regulatory Affairs Program (MDRAP) will host a Town Hall Forum for those interested in learning about MDRAP and how it assists researchers as they seek federal approval for new medical devices.

PURPOSE:

SBIR / STTR Workshop 2014

The Vanderbilt University Center for Technology Transfer & Commercialization's New Ventures Team, in partnership with LaunchTennessee, will host an SBIR / STTR Workshop, Tuesday, April 15, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Sarratt Student Center, 216-220. Lunch will be provided.

PURPOSE:

Venture Match

Tuesday, April 30, Launch Tennessee will host Venture Match – a “speed dating” event for entrepreneurs and inventors. The goal is to connect the state’s top innovators and entrepreneurs and explore potential “matches” between entrepreneurs and technologies in order to develop new companies, create sustainable jobs, and build value for investors. The event will be held at the Vanderbilt University Club from 6 – 8 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

SBIR / STTR Workshop

The Vanderbilt University Center for Technology Transfer & Commercialization's New Ventures team, in partnership with LaunchTennessee, will host an SBIR / STTR Workshop, Tuesday May 21st, 2013, from 9:30 am to noon at Vanderbilt School of Engineering, in Stevenson 5326.

PURPOSE:

New Venture Valuation Seminar

The Center for Technology Transfer & Commercialization, in partnership with the Cool Springs Life Sciences Center will host a New Venture Valuation Workshop Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, from 8 – 10:30 am at the Cools Springs Life Sciences Center.

The session will be led by Glenn Perdue, managing member of Kraft Analytics, LLC and certified valuation analyst, and will focus on new venture and intellectual property valuation as it pertains to academia.
